My name is Ryan Castle and I am a Montana leather craftsman who makes one-of-a-kind leather pieces by hand. I call beautiful Montana my home and live there with my wife, Jessianne, and our four-legged family.
During high school, I spent my summers in the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness packing mules. I made my own chaps, saddle bags, and other miscellaneous leather items for work. I enjoyed being able to make something to look and function exactly how I wanted it to. The meaningfulness of relying day-to-day on things I’d made myself brought a more full meaning to everything I did.
Folks around me liked what I was making, so I began making things for other people. Castle Custom Leather was born.
Still today I use what I make as much as I make it.
All of my pieces are made by hand from initial design to the finishing touches. Everything I create is made to be enjoyed and used for a very long time–I love knowing something I made is bringing joy and functionality to my customers.
